CONTUR GmbH - Training, Coaching & Consulting

Hello,

Welcome to the first edition of our newsletter!

Dear CONTUR customers and partners,

We are very pleased to be able to keep you up-to-date and maintain a close exchange of information through our CONTUR newsletter!

Our newsletter will inform you about the latest topics and trends in the area of human resources and organisational development 4x per year. It provides you with an overview of our philosophy and how we work. You also obtain insight into selected development and customer projects in the areas of talent and leadership development, project manager training, intercultural training and working in global virtual teams, for example. We will focus particularly on complex organisational development and change processes, for example, the integration of strategies, processes, working cultures, etc. in a close collaboration or following a merger or acquisition.

As well as providing the latest information and background knowledge, it is also important to us that we hear your views on ideas and concepts. We want to encourage reflection and look forward to hearing your opinions, criticisms or suggestions for improvement.

Enjoy reading the newsletter!

Best wishes,

Volker Maschmeyer

Project management: Soft factors are key

Which "non-objective factors" influence a project's success?

The secret is out – the old hands have always known:  A project's success depends not only on the level of detail of the project plan, but also on its acceptance by project management. A large number of projects were analysed as part of a study by GMP and the PA Consulting Group. The "soft factors", such as leadership, communication and team development, cause projects to fail. The necessary prerequisites for success, on the other hand, are the classic subjects of project training covered by "tools", such as planning, control and monitoring tools

CONTUR GmbH's human resources development programme for Honeywell

We are currently conducting our second human resources development programme for managers and trainee managers with key functions for Honeywell Speciality Chemicals, Seelze. In five modules spread over eight months, the participants worked on leadership, communication and change topics together with trainers and coaches. Dr. Peter Degenkolb, Managing Director, summarises: "The programme is an important milestone in the development of our employees – and the work environment also benefits greatly from their participation. It was an immense support during the restructuring process as regards employee motivation and qualification, not least through the positive effect of programme participants as multipliers."
