Targets
By the end of the training each participant will be confident in his/her ability to make clearly structured and focused personal presentations on business. Everybody will have at their disposal a business presentation tool and check-list which enables them to better achieve their business objectives and have a realistic appreciation of their presentation strengths and needs and how to balance them.
Content
In line with current best practice, it takes as its starting point the importance of audience-orientation - exploring all aspects of this approach from the significance of the first impression, delivery skills through preparation and structuring techniques to the successful handling of the question session.
Participants will give a presentation and receive full feedback from the tutor and peer feedback as Surrogate audience. The course therefore offers participants the chance to work on and try out a "real" presentation that they have to give in the near future.
Approach
Group activities, discussions, "real" presentations and video-debriefings, valuable practice in both taking and giving feedback and arguing different positions.
