Thomas Rautenstrauch

Professor Dr. Thomas Rautenstrauch studied business administration at the University of Göttingen. During this time, he had two international stays at the Universities of Surrey and Bordeaux. He completed his doctorate in business informatics at the University of Göttingen.

His professional career started as a senior accountant in Hamburg, after which he spent years as a cost systems manager. Now he is the managing director of a Swiss controlling company. Thomas Rautenstrauch wanted to pass on his practical experience and thus he started to accept teaching assignments. He is now a professor of accounting and business analytics at the Hochschule für Wirtschaft in Zurich. He is also active as a guest professor in various MBA programs at international universities in Austria, Canada, Finland, Germany, Russia, Switzerland and the USA, passing on his knowledge.

He also organizes various projects and trainings as a consultant and trainer. In the network of CONTUR GmbH, Thomas Rautenstrauch is a committed freelance consultant and trainer. Here he offers courses in business administration and cost management for companies and individuals. In addition, he conducts training courses on the topics of controlling and financial management and provides consulting in the area of key figure-oriented management, including the Balanced Scorecard.
