Train the Online-Trainer


Your situation

You are an experienced trainer in "face-to-face training" and would like to supplement your portfolio with live online training. You also want to convince in your online trainings with your individual training style. The fun and active involvement of your training participants are important to you. And you would like - similar to on-site training - to have access to a wide range of methodological knowledge as well as sound didactic principles.

 The training consists of:

  • ­ 5 interactive live online sessions of 2 hours each in the WebEx Training tool
  • ­ an online technical-check in advance, including an introduction to the learning tools used
  • ­ practice and transfer tasks between sessions
  • ­ tutoring support between the individual online sessions and
  • ­ own active practice sequences in the online sessions


Session 1: The challenge of online communication

­ the specifics of online communication and online didactics
­ interactions in online training: Involve participants and get feedback
­ create and hold attention
­ closeness at a distance: How to build up closeness to the participants online

Session 2: Learning formats and training materials
­ learning in breakout rooms: Small group work online
­ in the role of trainer: trying out interactions in tandem
­ design of training materials in live online sessions: tips and tricks
­ the different online learning formats at a glance

Session 3: Training design
­ the 4 phases of a live online session: the ideal process
­ in the role of trainer: preparing content and slides for online training
­ the digital World Café: How does it work online?
­ questions - questions - questions: stimulating learning processes through different question formats

Session 4: Group dynamics and own training sequences
­ in the role of trainer: conducting an individual training sequence and feedback (part 1)
­ group dynamics in online trainings: how to perceive and deal with them appropriately in training
­ trainer guides for online training: tips and tricks

Session 5: Digital learning journeys and own training sequences
­ in the role of trainer: Execution of an individual training sequence and feedback (part 2)
­ from the individual session to the complex blended concept: formats and their possible applications
­ completion and "Certificates"


Optional module: Technology Session*
­ answering individual technical questions of the participants and a lot of own trying out
­ overview of different platforms (WebEx, Skype, Teams, Zoom) - possible applications and stumbling blocks
­ software and technology: functions, front-end and basics in the back-end
­ invitation management in WebEx
­ preparation of a meeting (technical settings etc.)
*can be booked additionally with costs (€ 250,- plus VAT)


Professional input, group work, practical exercises, asynchronous learning tasks, learning tandems, exchange of experience on best practices, work on participants' own practical examples, tutorial support, implementation of own training sequences
