Birgit Kohlrausch
Partner of the CONTUR Network
Birgit Kohlrausch was born in 1967 and currently lives in Hanover. She has been a freelance consultant, trainer, and coach within the CONTUR GmbH network for many years.
After completing her apprenticeship as a bank clerk, she studied business administration, psychology, and law at the universities of Marburg, Giessen, and the Fernuniversität Hagen, earning a degree in business administration. She supplemented her university education with various training and continuing education programs: Integrated Management based on the St. Gallen Management Concept, systemic communication and counseling, business coaching and master coaching, and mediation. Birgit Kohlrausch is also a Gestalt therapist and has received further training in the areas of high sensitivity, resilience, burnout prevention, and change management.
Her professional career began as a human resources consultant both in Germany and abroad for companies in various industries, where she conducted executive search, potential analyses, one-on-one consultations, and workshops. A practical, value-adding approach has always been and remains important to her. Consequently, she subsequently gained management and leadership experience in both strategic and operational areas, specifically within German small and medium-sized enterprises as well as various DAX-listed companies.
In 2011, Birgit Kohlrausch fulfilled her dream of becoming self-employed. Since then, she has been offering coaching, guidance, mediation, workshops, training, as well as assessment and development center services.
Her key areas of focus continue to be integral transformation, effective communication, and impactful leadership.
Whether in business, the public sector, education, social services, or the skilled trades; whether working with senior executives or high-potential employees—her focus remains the same: empowering people to confidently shape change, communicate clearly, and lead effectively. This applies both to individual coaching and to team and organizational development processes. Birgit Kohlrausch takes a highly personalized approach, is goal-oriented in her work, demonstrates deep emotional empathy, and is exceptionally open. Her credo is not merely to optimize behavior in specific situations, but to instill a lasting awareness of one’s own potential.
Her fascination with the complexity of perception and expression runs like a common thread through her life: as a volunteer mentor, in the situational use of her therapy dog, and, as a personal outlet, through nature photography.
