Partner of the CONTUR Network

Patrick Schmidt grew up in Los Angeles. He studied psychology at California State University and French literature at L’Université de Strasbourg. His professional international career started in Germany. He then moved to Malaysia. Later, he lived in Canada, then in Austria and currently he has settled in Strasbourg.

Before Patrick Schmidt became self-employed as a trainer, which also makes him part of the CONTUR GmbH network, he designed and conducted numerous international trainings at the Institute of Technology in Karlsruhe. He has also taught international negotiation and sales management at the Ecole de Management in Strasbourg and at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration.
As a freelance trainer, he works for many well-known companies and has already gained many years of experience in his field. As a freelance trainer at CONTUR GmbH, Patrick Schmidt primarily conducts trainings on team development and U.S.-German business relations. He also gives intercultural coaching sessions.

Based on his many professional experiences and knowledge, Patrick Schmidt has written three books: “Understanding American and German Business Cultures”, “In Search of Intercultural Understanding”, “Dancing to a Different Tune”. He is also an active member of SIETAR (The society for intercultural education, training and research) for many years.
