Course description

The best strategy is the one that has been implemented

In our strategy workshop you will receive the essential building blocks for a congruent and effective strategy. Through the 4 persons training accompanied by 1:1 coaching, you have the chance to work directly on your individual strategy, so that at the end of the DHIT the first draft of your strategy will be ready!

We work with simple, clear concepts in comprehensible steps, adapted to your individual situation. We do not work with mere examples, but with your concrete use cases.

In the DHIT® “How to develop your strong strategy” we work out essential elements of a sustainable strategy.

  • It is about understanding and defining the purpose as well as qualitative and quantitative goals.
  • We show you strategic tools to analyze and interpret reality such as: SWOT, 5Ws, stakeholder mapping, customer value, competitive analysis, resource mapping.
  • During the training we will work out different strategic options from which you can choose the one that suits you best.
  • We define and plan comprehensive task bundles and intermediate steps and ensure meaningful sequences of essential steps. You will also learn to check your strategy for plausibility and congruence.
  • We also discuss who will be involved in the development and implementation and how. The DHIT® thus represents the holistic process for developing your own strategy.

The DHIT® format in brief:

  • 1x 1 hour Warm-Up (incl. Tech-Check) and 3x 3 hours of highly intensive and interactive live online sessions in small groups with max. 4 participants at intervals of approx. 1 week
  • 2 individual 45 min. coaching sessions with your trainer following the live online sessions to support a successful transfer into the individual practice
  • Self-learning elements between the sessions to further support the learning process (time required approx. 3 hrs. in total)

Ouestions and Answers

A strong strategy provides guidance for all major decisions. Therefore, it describes purpose and goals, organizes and develops resources. Major tasks are defined and planned. A strong strategy is understood and implemented by all stakeholders.

Strategic thinking creates clarity of purpose and goals, develops an overview of current reality, and understands relationships deeply enough to develop courses of action and select meaningful major strands of action that ultimately fulfill purpose and achieve goals. Often, the person with strategic thinking still needs a good communicator at his or her side to explain it all to everyone involved.

The next one.

Lack of implementation because KPI or OKR are not well defined and aligned and/or there are no sanctions for deviating from the strategy. Classic example: central marketing department issues premium brand strategy, countries with weakening sales push premium brand via massive price discounts.

Simplifying too early: in the analysis of realities and in the elaboration of alternative courses of action, you can lose patience and then you make mental shortcuts without really understanding connections, interrelationships and original alternatives. All under the motto “nobody out there understands that”. At that point, there is no “out there”, only a strategy team. Simplifying and explaining comes later. Not in analysis, not in understanding the options for action.

DHIT®: Successfully leading remote and hybrid teams

Dates on request

Are you leading a remote or hybrid team? Are the challenges of distance and team member isolation as well as the mix of working from the office and from home causing you extra headaches? Are you struggling with sluggish performance? Does it seem like things are taking twice as long as they used to when you had all your team members in one location. Or that you have to repeat yourself three different ways before people “get it”? And that’s after you’ve fought your way through molasses-like silences and non-responsiveness in your team meetings? In remote or hybrid teams, sometimes it just feels like your team members are “physically“ there, somewhere, but mentally absent.
