Managing projects

How is your company currently configured? To what degree has digitization progressed? What goals have you set for the future? And not to be left out: What organizational framework do you have in place? These are just a few important questions that we always ask our customers before we develop concrete proposals for effective and successful project management.

Project Management: Agile, classic or hybrid

The answers to these questions enable us to draw concrete conclusions as to whether classic, agile or hybrid project management is more suitable for a company.

Once we have found the best path for a company to follow, we move on to the concrete implementation. Then the allocation of the “tools” begins, and this can and definitely must vary depending on the type of project approach. After all, in order to be able to effectively and successfully manage projects in their various forms, a variety of theoretical knowledge, personal skills and a confident handling of appropriate tools are necessary.

We give you what you really need!

Our perception of successful project management is clear: the local baseline situation in the company, the objective as well as the organizational framework conditions are all of fundamental importance in the selection of the optimal type of project management. In other words: Before a success lever can be pulled, first the right one must be identified!

Based on this principle, we guide our customers in the introduction or adaptation of project management systems and in the transfer of specific project management knowledge. And then we pull the right success lever together.

Qualifications and methods based on internationally recognised project management standard (PMI)®.

Vague knowledge is not our thing! Our project management approach is therefore based on the project management process and the standards set by the Project Management Institute (PMI) ®, the globally active and recognized project management association. This is based on the current version of the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide) ®.

PMI® AUTHORIZED TRAINING PARTNER (ATP)

You can also rely on the fact that CONTUR is an official PMI® Authorized Training Partner (ATP).

Our organization has been reviewed and approved by the PMI Authorized Training Partner Program.

This seal of quality ensures the high standards of the training provider. And you even benefit in another way: You will be able to collect the PDU´s (Professional Development Units) required for your re-certification in the correspondingly marked seminars, and this very comprehensively, because we also cover the competence fields Ways of Working (formerly Technical Skills), Power Skills (formerly Leadership Skills) und Business Acumen (formerly Strategic and Business Skills). You will always find the number of PDU´s on the page of the relevant course you have selected. In the year 2022, the new terms of the competence fields will be introduced by the PMI®.

PMI-Talent Triangle®: The ideal skill set for your success!

But what are these skill areas all about? In order to put the continuing education of its certified professionals on a solid foundation, PMI® introduced the PMI Talent Triangle® in 2016. It describes all the skills that are important for project managers and divides them into three groups:

Ways of Working (formerly Technical Project Management): Whether it’s predictive, agile, design thinking, or new practices still to be developed, it’s clear that there is more than one way that work gets done today. That’s why we encourage professionals to master as many ways of working as they can – so they can apply the right technique at the right time, delivering winning results.

Power Skills (formerly Leadership): These interpersonal skills include collaborative leadership, communication, an innovative mindset, for-purpose orientation, and empathy. Ensuring teams have these skills allows them to maintain influence with a variety of stakeholders – a critical component for making change.

Business Acumen (formerly Strategic and Business Management): Professionals with business acumen understand the macro and micro influences in their organization and industry and have the function-specific or domain-specific knowledge to make good decisions. Professionals at all levels need to be able to cultivate effective decision-making and understand how their projects align with the big picture of broader organizational strategy and global trends.
