With over 800 motivated employees in the European region, Yamaha Music Europe GmbH is an internationally leading manufacturer and known as a supplier of high-quality musical instruments, professional audio and electronics.

Expectations

  • To bring European managers into exchange with each other on managerial and leadership-related topics and to develop them together.
  • Raising awareness of the contribution of individuals and teams to the success of the company in implementing its strategy.
  • Discuss and update each other on relevant topics ranging from strategy and finance to leadership and change in a cross-functional corporate context.
  • Gain insight into country-specific perspectives and designs and generate a common understanding.

Goals

  • Give managers in the organisation a common framework for action.
  • Create understanding for business decisions and specific country perspectives.
  • Encourage best practice sharing and personal networking.
  • Implement “Making waves”, the company’s slogan, also in leadership, so that the leaders send out the same messages to the organisation.

Measures

  • Overall design/architecture (concept and storyline, selection of topics and trainers, integration of topics and modules, virtual set-up).
  • Language test in advance.
  • Kick-off with the participants’ supervisors.

 

  • Briefing and involvement of internal expert speakers for each module to ensure best fit for the overall organisation.
  • Conduct highly interactive live online sessions in conjunction with extensive self-study pre-reads for each module and transfer tasks for reflection in tandems between modules.

In close coordination with Personnel Development, in direct exchange with the Senior Directors from Europe as well as the Japanese Lead, the programme was specifically designed for Yamaha – and auditable at the same time.
