Our customer, KNETTENBRECH + GURDULIC, is one of the leading medium-sized companies in the field of waste disposal and recycling in Germany.

Founded in 2001 in Wiesbaden as a family business, KNETTENBRECH + GURDULIC has developed into a group of companies operating throughout Germany. The Group’s extensive range of services includes not only waste disposal and recycling, but also utilities and specialized services.

Goals

Leadership Development Program Goals:

  • To further develop leadership competencies.
  • Develop a common understanding of leadership based on the K+G values and consistently apply and exemplify it in day-to-day work.
  • Provide managers with the tools for effective, entrepreneurial, but also employee-oriented leadership in order to further pursue the company’s growth strategy.

Target groups of the program are:

  • Managing directors of all companies of the company
  • Commercial executives
  • Industrial executives
  • New and potential executives

Measures

Based on the goals and requirements, a customized development program for executives was created in close cooperation with management and HR Development:

  • Upstream workshop with management.
  • At the start of the development program, all participants conducted a guided dialog with their direct manager on their personal development goals.
  • One basic module for newly nominated managers.
  • Three advanced modules for each target group.
  • 1:1 conversations with the trainer for individual support of the development goals.
  • Personality questionnaire to analyze personal leadership style.
  • Exchange between participants and management representatives during the program.
  • Accompanying measures for networking and transfer assurance between the modules.
  • Testing of practical methods and techniques in everyday life and subsequent exchange of experiences among each other.
  • Informal evening events for networking among participants.
  • Final dialog with the direct executive for individual development.
  • Optimization and adaptation of the development measure to current challenges in consultation with HR Development.
  • Further runs and measures to ensure success are being planned.

Collaboration

In December 2022, our collaboration started with a management workshop at which the key points of the management development program were drawn up. The collaboration with HR Development in direct consultation with the company management was extremely transparent, trusting and inspiring. Clear decisions and constructive feedback in both directions have made the development program a great success.

Result

As part of the development program, the participants not only expanded their leadership skills, but also achieved close synchronization in their leadership behavior. The focus was on the corporate values, which were operationalized to individual leadership practice.

Networking among themselves and with management was strengthened. Participants acquired effective methods to communicate successfully, support and advise each other.

In addition, the participants have further developed their competence to better assess and lead themselves and others, even in challenging change situations. The program helped them to use their strengths in a more targeted and methodical way in order to implement the company’s growth strategy consistently and successfully.
